Ingram Studios Terms & Conditions 2024
AGREEMENT
By enrolling in lessons at Ingram Studios, all students, parents and guardians agree to the Terms and Conditions in this document.
1. STUDENT CANCELATIONS & MAKE-UP LESSONS
1. No refunds, credits or make-up lessons will be offered for schedule conflicts, cancellations, no shows, lockdown, or general illness.
2. If Ingram Studios staff must cancel a lesson, a make-up lesson will be arranged.
3. Lessons that fall on public holidays will be rescheduled at the discretion of Ingram Studios.
4. If you arrive to a lesson with cold, flu, upper respiratory infection or other contagious ailment, the lesson will not go ahead, and you will be asked to leave.
5. If you are sick or travelling, you can opt to have your lesson online at your allocated lesson time.
6. If a lockdown is announced lessons will be held online.
7. If Ingram Studios staff is unwell, your lesson may be held online instead of in-person.
8. If you are enrolled in the term, your lesson time cannot be changed part way through term.
2. online lessons
1. All students are required to have the following ‘Required Online Set Up’ ready by the start of term, in the instance that lessons need to shift to online at short notice (see 1.5, 1.6, 1.7) . Failure to do so could mean your lesson is forfeited and not rescheduled.
2. You must create your own account on Zoom, Evernote and The Ingram Studio’s Portal and have the relevant apps installed. Original Sound setting must be installed and turned-on for Zoom.
3. If you are going to be attending online, you must always text Laura on 0408295562 the day of the lesson to confirm. Emails might not be seen on busy teaching days.
3. Required online lessons Set up
1. Text Laura on 0408295562 to confirm you will be attending online.
2. Download Zoom App on your Laptop or PC only. Students cannot use an iPad/tablet.
3. Find the booking confirmation email and click the zoom link.
4. Make sure your video and microphone are working.
5. Go into Zoom Settings > Audio Settings > Audio Profile > check on for ‘Original Sound for Musicians’. Close settings. Turn on ‘Original Sound’ (Now seen as a button on the top left-hand side of screen).
6. Open the Ingram Studios portal on your phone or additional device.
7. Have a drinking straw or vocal tube ready.
8. Have a drink bottle ready filled with 30-50% water
9. Open your Evernote diary and any backing tracks you are working with.
4. FEES & PAYMENT
1. Payment for Ad hoc and Initial sessions is due within 24hrs of making the booking. Once the payment is received the booking time will be confirmed by Ingram Studios via email. Failure to pay on time may result in your lesson time being forfeited.
2. Invoices for term enrolments are issued before the beginning of each term, with payment due within (7) days of the issue date. Failure to pay on time may result in your lesson time being forfeited.
3. To ensure enrolment, a 10% deposit must be made upon booking.
4. Payment must be received on or before the due date on your invoice.
5. Failure to pay fees before the due date will result in a late fee or the cessation of lessons.
6. Term fees are non-refundable.
5. GENERAL CONDITIONS
1. Lessons begin at the allotted lesson time and will cease with 5 minutes remaining to allow for lesson review, note taking, questions and pack up. When a client arrives late the lesson will still end on time.
2. You must create your own account on Zoom, Evernote and The Ingram Studio’s Portal. Links to these pages will be emailed to you upon enrolment. See Section 3 ‘Required Online Lesson Set Up’ for more detail.
3. All students are required to purchase a Vocal Tube. Purchase link here https://linktr.ee/ingramstudios
4. You are encouraged to record all lessons.
5. Online lessons may be recorded and you permit Ingram Studios to record them. Videos will be used internally and may be shown to other students. Any other use of the videos may only occur with your permission. You may opt out of any video recording by notifying Ingram Studios. You agree that all copywrite in such videos is wholly owned by Ingram Studios.
6. The teacher you have for your initial lesson is not guaranteed to be your teacher for the term should you enrol.
7. You are expected to practice all prescribed technical work and repertoire and completed any assigned music theory, aural, musicianship exercises.
8. You are encouraged to participate in Ingram Studios End of Term Concerts.
9. You are expected to behave in a respectful and mature manner during all classes. Inappropriate behaviour will not be tolerated. Lessons may be ceased without refund if the student or parent acts in a disrespectful, abusive, or inappropriate manner towards Ingram Studios staff or students.
10. You should wear comfortable and covered clothing as some breathing exercises require the students to lay on the floor.
11. All administrative questions must be directed to Laura Ingram via email laura@ingramstudios.com.au. No administrative questions will be addressed by other Ingram Studios staff. If students are under 18, parents/guardians are expected to contact Ingram Studios directly, not the child.
12. All cancellations or notifications that the student will be online must made to Laura Ingram via SMS 0408295562 by the student or parent/guardian of student during business hours only.
